Klaus Liedkte, born 1944, was war correspondent, White-House correspondent, TV host, author and editor-in-chief. For more than twenty years, he worked for the magazine "Stern" and, last, he was editor-in-chief for "National Geographic". Nowadays he devotes his time to environmental protection, sustainability and the "reconciliation of economy and ecology”. He is on the board of trustees of the WWF, a member of the supervisory board of the european UN-center for environment and the executive board of “investigate, a new initiative promoting quality journalism.
